PreK3 & PreK 4

FullSizeRender.jpeg

Our PreK classrooms use studies from the Creative Curriculum that are hands-on and project-based investigations, a developmentally appropriate approach. It emphasizes rich, engaging, play-based learning experiences; hands-on investigation of interesting materials; nurturing environments, and warm, welcoming, responsive relationships between educators and students.

There are four main categories of interest which are
integrated throughout each study.
Social-Emotional
Cognitive
Physical
Language

As creativity and critical thinking skills are weaved throughout, the students make the decisions about the direction of the study. Students are encouraged to express their interest as the educators follow their lead and pose questions to deepen their understanding. We also incorporate the use of our "Tynker Lab" to promote STEM activities.

In addition, students participate in weekly

Tumble lessons and a Chapel service.
