Our preschool classrooms use studies from the Creative Curriculum that are hands-on and project based investigations, a developmentally appropriate approach. Concepts from domains such as Social-Emotional, Cognitive, Physical, Language, Literacy and Math are integrated throughout each study. Creativity and critical thinking skills are weaved throughout, as students make the decisions about the direction of the study. Teachers follow the lead and interest of children as they pose questions to deepen their understanding. Both the Creative Curriculum and Reggio approaches believe that children, as well as adults, grow in knowledge through exploration of the physical environment and the interactions with people. We also incorporate the use of our new "Tynker Lab" to promote STEM activities.
In addition, students participate in weekly Spanish & Tumble lessons and a Chapel service. (Spanish and Tumble are temporarily paused due to Covid.)
